In this series of ‘Invisible Cities’, I used the technique of multiple exposures. I feel cities have multiple layers, which often get jumbled up, thus creating the city’s very own dynamics.

The main layer of any city that causes it to exist, is the human that inhabits it.

 

Rawalpindi and Islamabad are the yin and yang of each other. They both have a mystery about them, where you get engulfed into their very own culture, ambience and architecture. Then there is the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The hub of all this are the bazaars, something that connects them both. These places are where the cities’ hearts beat
